This lovely necklace likely dates to the 1920s. It features an oval camphor glass pendant with rays radiating from a small diamond set at the center. The oval is 1 1/2″ long including the decorative bail and 3/4″ wide. The glass is framed in filigreed sterling silver which also covers the bottom half of the pendant. At the two sides there is a bit of filigree missing (or perhaps never present), but it does not detract from the look. The chain is a lovely period link with a spring ring clasp stamped STERLIN. The chain is a generous and unusual 17 inches long. This piece has a wonderful presence and is in good condition for it’s age.
This was put up last night i thought it was pretty cool hope you do too.
