Yesterday I learned how to fill out a customs form for shipping internationally. Since our Ruby Lane shop is view-able internationally we get orders from all over. We have had orders from almost every continent and Australia and Canada are our two best costumers. You have to fill out three copies of a customs for so it is a lot of duplication. Also we use padded envelopes instead of the flat rate boxes we use for US orders.
My mother is going back to work meaning I am going to have to take over the store more. Meaning a lot more time will be spent answering emails and dealing with customers. Something I have a little practice with meaning I am technically prepped for this job. I look forward to becoming a larger part of Market Treasures even though I do a lot for the website as is.
I am going from social media marketer to full time jewelry vendor. Constantly tied down to my email waiting for the next order to come in. We actually had a good day yesterday with two orders. One of the being a big ticket item which is also helpful to our family. Especially since we just had to put 2,500 dollars into our work vehicle. Right now we are just trying to bounce back from that event. Wish us luck maybe we can have a good day at the flea market tomorrow.
We will be at our usual venue The Meadowlands Flea Market in the back used and vintage aisles. I will update in the morning where we will be. Also we had our first person contact us from New Jersey about an item in our store. They want to meet us at the Meadowlands to possibly purchases said item. I think this is so awesome that someone is able to browse our store and then pick up an item at a flea market that is close to them.
